Biography
I am a post-doctoral fellow in Denver, Colorado specializing in treating children, adolescents, and young adults with mood-based and behavioral challenges, including anxiety, OCD, and ADHD. Throughout my doctoral training, I received training in a variety of settings from a diverse group of professionals who fostered my love for collaborative, scientifically based, and dynamic therapeutic interventions. My educational and professional experiences taught me the importance of integrating individual identities into treatment planning and maintaining an open and non-judgmental stance in the therapy room. Through those experiences, I developed a deep understanding of these disorders and discovered my passion for helping individuals conquer their fears and manage their anxieties. I deeply value the transformative power of a strong therapeutic alliance built on collaboration, empathy, and curiosity. I strive to combine a strong therapeutic relationship with effective, skill-based interventions to promote lasting transformations.
I received bachelor’s degrees in both Psychology and Neuroscience from The University of Colorado in 2015. After graduating, I remained in Boulder where I worked for two years as a Mental Health Counselor at an inpatient psychiatric hospital and worked for 1 year as a Medicaid case manager for older, blind, and disabled adults. I then received my master’s in Applied Child and Adolescent Psychology: Prevention and Treatment from the University of Washington in Seattle. During my time in Seattle, I completed a practice placement at Seattle Children’s Hospital in an intensive outpatient clinic for children and teens with severe OCD. After completing my master’s program, my partner and I relocated back to Colorado where I attended the University of Denver’s doctoral program in clinical psychology.
When I’m not working, you can likely find me playing a game or doing something active outside with friends. I love to go hiking, swimming, and skiing and I enjoy playing volleyball and finding great happy hours around Denver too. My partner and I are also avid comedy fans, so you might also see us at Comedy Works.
What would you clients say about you as a therapist?
I think my clients would say I am easy to talk to, funny, and supportive.
Do you have pets?
My husband and I have a spunky little gray tabby cat with white paws named Oliver. Although I only have one cat, I adore all animals and pets and envision myself having many more pets in the future. In fact, a dream of mine is to have a gaggle of French Bulldogs who are all named after cookie ingredients (Butter, Sugar, Chip, Egg).
What is my dream vacation?
I absolutely love swimming and being underwater, so, my dream vacation would involve a good pair of goggles and multiple bodies of water that I can explore.
Do you have a guilty pleasure?
Unfortunately, my guilty pleasure is absolutely watching true crime shows. I am one of those people that can somehow fall asleep to Dateline or 20/20 episodes.
What is a weird fact about you that most people wouldn’t know?
I really hate bananas.

Aside from anytime I’ve ever made someone laugh, I would have to say my proudest accomplishment is completing my predoctoral psychology internship and becoming a part of an amazing community on Kaua’i, Hawai’i.

Do you play an instrument?
☹ While I believe I have many talents, musical ability is not one of them!

While it is not a type of food per say, potatoes are the most versatile, agreeable, and delicious food on the planet. A potato makes sense for every meal of the day and it tastes great every time.
